Darby Glenn's New Administrator

Darby Glenn is excited to welcome our new Administrator, Amanda Meeks, to the team! From a young age, Amanda always knew she wanted to work in healthcare. She has worked in long-term care since graduating college and started as an Admissions and Marketing Director. In that position, she loved welcoming residents into their new homes so much that she decided to expand her expertise by attaining her LNHA.

Amanda’s favorite part about her career is helping residents and their families transition to nursing care. She makes it her mission to ensure that residents receive the best care possible and will continue to provide quality care and a healthy work environment at Darby Glenn. Amanda would describe her job as meaningful, rewarding, and challenging.



“We have the ability to turn a resident’s idea of long-term care into something positive. We have the potential to turn what they may believe to be a bad experience into something impactful,” shared Amanda. She stays motivated through the constant challenge of making a positive impact on residents and staff. We couldn't be happier to have an addition to our team that strives to make a difference in our residents’ lives every day.

Another reason why we love Amanda is that she is a go-getter. When something needs doing, she will be sure it gets taken care of. Within her first week at Darby Glenn, Amanda replaced all the carpet in resident rooms with hardwood floors. She also replaced the floor in our kitchen, creating a bright and new environment for our team to cook. With her help, we have also done some major upgrades to make meal passes more efficient. Our team is so happy to be able to serve hot meals to our residents off of our brand-new steam table. Our facility is so lucky to have a dedicated leader implementing new processes to overcome challenges and increase efficiency.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys reading, taking trips to the beach, and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes play. She has been married to her husband, Brian, for 17 years, and they have two beautiful daughters together, Samantha and Allison. Being an animal lover, Amanda also has two dogs, a yorkie named Chloe and a labradoodle named Beans.
